Body - Lifting Gantry

Dwight Booth

Here's some shots of my car gantry based on a description by Dale Van Blokland.

I added some angle iron ribs to the middle support and winch. The Angle Iron legs on the winch allow me to slide it back and forth on the gantry cross beam.

The casters were held on by (4) 5/16" x 2" Lag bolts. I pre-drilled the holes in the posts for the caster base.

The body attachment points shown are NOT optimum!
They will lift the body and balance is correct but getting the straps out is the next problem.

Trying to get info from Tim Watson on how he attached the winch to the body.
