jch@citilink.com Type of car:
Roadster Influences: Lamborghini Countach pictures on my wall when I was a kid. Car & Driver magazine March 1999 pg 75-77. Computers and technology. Father figure and grandfather that shaped me into a motorhead. Occupation: Technology and Computer Consulting Hobbies: Cars, computer/card/board games, home theater, car stereo, computer programming. Convergence of technology and the home (home controllers, X10, house audio, networking, etc). Convergence of technology and the car (GPS, real-time traffic, networked hard-drive based audio storage, satellite radio and networking, etc). About Me: Set your sights high, work hard and smart, ask yourself how you can achieve something rather than telling yourself you cannot do/afford it, offer help and support to others and allow them to do the same for you, and you can do anything you set your mind to. That's the philosophy I've been living my life by and how I've gotten to where I am today. This hobby is not cheap (in terms of time or money involvement), so you've
really got to want it (i.e. this has got to be a dream you want to come
true) and be willing to stick with it until the end. Most people give
up on their projects. Despite many times wanting to give up, that wasn't
going to be me. My project is now 100% complete. The last of the bugs
in the cooling system, syspension, and supercharger/EFI system have been
worked out and the car runs great. What an experience it has been. I spend my time now with my significant other Kathy (soon to be wife, but shhh don't tell her -- it's a surprise). At the time of this writing, we have been living in our new house for five months and is almost done (gee, I thought a car was a big project... until I learned about what it takes to build a house). The new house has an attached heated, insulated, six car garage, so I've got lots of room for my cars and shop which is going in now piece by piece.
Final Note: I'd like to take the time to thank those of you at Kit Central and who frequent Lambo Lounge, Knotts, etc for your support, ideas, and time you've provided. The collective knowledge and willingness to help of the builders in this section of Lambo Lounge is astounding. And thank you Fletch for taking the time to put it all together in such a fantastic WWW site here at Lambo Lounge. More photos of JC's car - click
