Influences:
Jim Michaud is one of the most influential people I know. This guy is
very talented and inspirational to talk to. Bill Bailey who owns Wholesale
paint in Claremore has built and owned one of everything. Like Jim he
is always pushing the limits on creativity and thinking outside of the
box with improved processes. Ron Fletcher of the Lambo lounge has been
a total blessing. This site really got me into this and has since helped
me open up a new twist on our automotive business. Last but not least,
Rick and Tara from D&R. What can I say they simply have it all together
and provide great products with unbelievable customer service.
Occupation:
Contract Administrator and Owner of Hays
Automotive Industries and Italian Designes replica car building and Chassis
building.
Hobbies:
Building Custom cars(various GM Based Corvettes,
55-57 Chevy’s, full size trucks) I owned a Countach Replica which
I bought finished and did not like the quality of it and rebuilt some
of the things on the car. I also enjoy working with my German Shepherds
and entertaining friends in our private night club. I did get very lucky
and married a great one. She is very supportive and has learned to do
paint and body work and is a great help. (Not to mention she looks good
too!)
A final note:
I bought an unfinished project from a guy that had an ADL body which I
sold and chopped up the chassis to use with my first roadster. I put my
body on ebay and it set off an avalanche of emails with people wanting
chassis built and help with their build. So I recruited the help of my
long time friend Rex Roberts who is a machinist and engineer by trade.
Rex has become a really good paint and body man over the last 12 years
working for me and is a great friend. We are currently building 3 cars
right now and have 2 chassis waiting for bodies and engine upgrades. We
are looking forward to helping other builders and providing turnkey cars
or what ever our customers needs that we can provide. Give us a call or
drop us a line.
Regards,
Kelly Hays
