Influences: Andy B. for his patient answering of all my questions and the detailed assistance he provides so often. My build was pretty much engineered by him. Also Dale, Fletch and a lot of folks on Duncan's board for encouragement and help.

Occupation: I own Marketing Production Company, ARPageOne, Inc.

Other Hobbies: Latest is Micro Electric RC Helicopters to hover around the living room. At one time or another I've brewed beer, gunsmithed, did woodworking, VBS programming, ham radio (WB5NCW), fishing, restored a 1956 clinker built boat, hydroponics (don't ask) and shake a mean martini if I do say so myself.

More information: I really enjoy cars, although I've never owned a high performance car. My fastest car was a 94 Honda Accord. Learning new things has always been really enjoyable and I've always dreamed of building a car.

The first thing I learned was not car related at all, but how to install an air conditioner/furnace for my garage. I bought an air handler for the attic and the outside compressor and started researching how to install it.

Welding, brazing, bead blasting, suspensions and on and on I'm slowly getting the hang of things. I read a bunch, ask lots of questions and get lots of sorely needed help from Andy and others. This has been a real blast so far. The pictures are from Sat 11.09.02.

I'd been working on the car for hours and it was the first time it moved under it's own power. A major milestone. I gave it a little gas in the driveway and it is unbelievably fast. I still have a smile on my face. The picture was taken by my highly supportive wife Andrea, she has encouraged and understood the obsession. I was told when I started the build that if I had money, hair and a wife to be prepared to loose all three. See, I still have a wife...

Rick has a great web site (click on his logo to visit his web site)

Rick's Diablo VT - I can 't say enough great things about Rick! He has given me a enormous amount of support and help with my kit. It was Bricks help that really got me going in the first year, helping me conduct my homework of which direction I wanted to build my car and with what parts, and on his web site you can see he has a detailed diary of his build.
