First, here's a picture of myself and the enabler (Barbara), let's face it without the cooperation of your spouse we wouldn't have the resources, both financial and time, to do a project like this.

Occupation: Podiatrist in the Chicagoland area for 32 years

Previous projects: I started puttering with cars when was 14 years old 1956 was my earliest attempt and was purchased for $75, it came home in a series of bushel baskets. I had no manuals, no entor, and basically sat in the garage and just put things together until one day the thing ran.

I had a series of toys through the ‘60s which included a 57 Corvette that I ultimately dropped in a 427 HP 425 cubic inch monster and a 63 and 64 Corvettes.

It was a couple years later when I disassembled the entire thing, fortified the frame, put in a different engine, and went crazy with chrome.

This was started in approximately 1982 and completed in 1984 and it was a passion driving me through that car. I have driven it regularly for the last 18 years and have gone through one engine, and enjoyed it beyond words. In 2002 I dismantled it part way and shot it with a new coat of paint, polished all the stainless and had the chrome refinished, to make it almost new again. Thats the origin of this project I haven’t had a car “fix” for years .

.

Hobbies: over the years I really got into photography with a color darkroom, taking, enlarging, matting, and framing pictures. We, my wife and I, have dabbled in the 3 S’s skiing, skydiving, scuba diving, (we have over 300 hours in the Caribbean) and “This old housing”, my wife and I took 2 condominiums and combined them in the downtown high-rise, doing all the work ourselves. My wife is a flight attendant and that has given us the opportunity to traavel extensivly. We’ve covered most of eastern and central Europe, Africa, South America, Central America, many of the South Pacific groups, we’ve yet to do Australia, New Zealand, and the Orient, and of course the United States which we’re saving for when we’re older.
