Influences: None really- just like the Lamborghini. I've been tinkering around in the garage for years. In my early 20's I put together a competition winning car stereo system and became interested in car electrics. I once rebuilt a Ford Sierra Cosworth that was a stolen recovered vehicle. I owned one at the time and when my friend bought his he asked me to help him put it back on the road. They actually caught the theives with the car all sripped in boxes ready for parts. We put the thing back together without a manual and treated like one giant mechano set. There we 40 or more boxes of bits!

Occupation: Fiancial Advisor!

Hobbies: Scuba Diving, amateur dramatics, soccer and Kit Cars of course.

About Me: I'm 32 and a financial advisor living in the South West of the UK (Cornwall). (Does that make me the first overseas profile?) Working in a bank all day means that I need something to do thats creative with my hands in the evenings and weekends. I'm married with a little boy aged 2. I've loved everything Lamborghini since I was a boy and like alot of people I suspect, I had all the posters on my wall. I never dreamed that one day I could own one.

I explored the possibility of Kit car Lambos a few years ago when the Countach kits were popular, but due to the poor design and the endless emergence and subsequent demise of the manufactures, I decided against the idea. I flip through any kit mag classified section shows how right my decision was with numerous Countach clones avaiable every month in part finished form.

The Diablo became my personal favorite in the 90's on its launch, I still prefer it to the shape of the Merci, and everything changed in February 2002 when an article caught my eye in a Kit Car mag. There in all its glory was a Diablo replica and from then on I knew I had to have one.

I'm using a UK company called Parallel Designs.(www.paralleldesigns.co.uk)for my build and find both parts, supply and back up excellent. They are one of only 2 supplieres in the UK. My car is mounted on a purpose built frame for the job and most non original part are supplied direct.

Final Note: Being in the far South West of the UK, we don't get to see many top notch cars. They mainly seem to reside in the London and North areas. In fact I think its fair to say that I have never seen one in this part of the world- ever.

It is partly for that reason and partly for the challange that I want to build this car. I smile amusingly when I show people the build pics and guys explain to their wives (pretending to be knowledgeable) that its pictures of a Ferarri.

A Ferarri? No, no I exclaim, A Lamborghini is far more exclusive than that!!!
