| Notes - Manufactures Parts |
![]() |
|||
This page is going to be dedicated to help builders who want to know "what parts do I get when I purchase a kit"... and what do they look like. I would like (and this will take a long time to compile) to show what each kit manufactures offers. It would show the kit and all the parts as received from the manufacture before it’s built. My intent is not to promote or demote any manufacture, and I would hope that you would not make any critical judgments by these photos - you should visit these manufactures in person and see it for yourself, talk to other builders on the Diablo Forums to get a full rounded opinion. There is something that you need to consider when viewing this section, it is impossible to compare manufactures for many reasons. There are constant manufactures changes and the hidden (feature) information that I can not begin to compare, for example with an Engine Cover... does it have reinforced steel, are both sides finished, does it have placement for hinges? The manufacture matrix that I created is an example of what you should do and how you should compile to compare all the kit features. I can not begin to compare all the different manufactures models and features... there are just way to many variables to com pair with in each manufacture, you need to investigate these for yourself. I know we all have our favorite
manufactures and I welcome you to send me your photos of your parts. |
| There is a detailed "manual" that Dale has created for you to view (in regards to this section). This instruction manual is on how he built his IFG Phantom Roadster. (click on his logo to visit his web site)

In an effort to have some consistency for comparative purposes the photo section should start from the front of the kit and work back. Like bumper group, head light opening, hood and hinges, doors, roof (roadster), rocker panel, interior, dash, seats, engine lid and hinges, rear trunk, wing, bumper, grills, glass, struts lights. Grouping these would make logical sense and act as a guide to any contributor as to what to take pictures of. |

| This Matrix is COMPLETELY inaccurate, I am working on it and I am just showing this as an illustration as to the direction that I am headed. DO NOT USE this chart yet... |
