I.F.G. was started in 1976 building van conversion products out of fiberglass for the ever popular van accessory world. This continued throughout the 80s and still continues today. In 1988 the company started into a new direction and dove head first into the replica car world. We started by introducing the Interceptor 5000s which was the first Countach style kit based on a Fiero chassis. Then, in 1990 another first, the Interceptor 25th., the first Countach style kit based on a stretched Fiero chassis.

Around mid-1989 to early 1990 we also introduced the DeRossa coupe and spider(no longer offered), the first correct wheelbase replica of the Italian design made famous by the most popular T.V. show of the 80s. Then came the ground breaking, unmatched and award winning Phantom VT, by far the most outstanding replica in the world. This was followed up by the multi award winning Phantom SE and will soon be followed by the Phantom Roadster.

We here at I.F.G. also build movie cars as seen in hit films like The Rock, Batman Returns, Army of One, The Rookie and The Taking of Beverly Hills. We here at I.F.G. have also done some other more radical work such as building the "World's Biggest Motorcycle", Countach Limo and Testarossa Limo. In 1988 I.F.G. became the leader of the Replica car world and it has continued a tradition of setting the standard which other companies can only hope to achieve.

While I was in southern Calif this week (12/02), I stopped by IFG. Most are of the yellow 6.0, a couple of a grey SV and a few more of a green 6.0 under construction. (Click on the picture to inlarge)
