| Notes - Projects |
| The projects that are listed below are things that you can make... if you can build a car you might want to think about practicing your welding skills first on a few of these projects for your shop. You might also want to see this section on welding advice from other builders |

Jo McKenna - Engine Stand I took some pictures of the engine stand I'm building. The top swivel section is being built right now, so I'll have some more pictures of the completed stand very soon. |

Mike Budgery - Welding Cart
|
| Ron Boudreau - Engine Stand I built this adjustable engine stand. This way I can place the engine at the correct height while building the chassis around it. |

| The spherical rod ends are a bit of over kill but I have a box of then left over from my racing days. | |
Tim Watson - Engine Stand You guys got to make you a set of these block dolleys, It was one of the first things I build after I got my new welder. You role the motor and trans under the back of the car and simply host it up in position, unbolt the dollys, install the cradle and lower the engine in place, I works sweet. |

Kelly Hays - Body Roller I just built a roll around jig for my body to support it while I work on it. Its pretty cool. It took me about 3 hours to build but it was worth it.

Dale Van Blokland - Foldable Work Benches I have made a couple foldable work benches that the readers may want to use. These are very simple to make and inexpensive. The following parts will make two benches.
Mark the conduit 42” in from each end. Using a conduit bender, bend the first one in the shape of a “U”. If you use the bender on the outside of the line, you get a tall bench if you use it on the inside you get a short one. The second leg needs to be marked 42 3/8” to allow it to fit on the outside of the first leg. Drill a hole for the ¼” bolts about midpoint on the leg and fasten with ¼” bolts. Use the links of chain and secure a piece to the legs on each side. Wrap sponge or carpet pad around the top and secure with wire ties. These are very handy for laying panels on to work. |
