These bars consist of 1x2" and 2x2" steel. Notice the top section of the frame that runs at the side of the chassis. This is flushed with the Diablo side body to give it a good solid frame and a sturdy mounting point for the body.

Added to this is a 1x2" steel bar that is welded underneath the chassis. Linking these two frames together are 1x2" steel that runs from the top frame to the bottom. This creates a two point subframe that is virtually inflexible.

Each side frame is attached to two 2x2" steel that is welded to the stretch frame and the chassis. It follows the frame to the front of the chassis that will then be welded to the front upper dash part and onto the front chassis.

All the sides are welded in position. This is one sure way to strengthen the chassis as well as a way to hide the frame inside the body it self. When finished the car will have a one piece chassis look so that when you look underneath the car you don't see a subframe.

When doing this it is very important that you keep a constant measurement of the car so that you don't weld the subframe un evenly. Also after cutting the roof off it is very vital that you position the car on a flat leveled surface. So that measurements will be equal.

Another tip is to keep the car on stands and positioned so that the car will not be disturbed while the frame is in production. On the rear is a pair of 2x2" steel tubing that attaches to the bottom subframe to the stretch. This will insure that there will be no flex from the chassis to the subframe
