I delivered my body to Lance in Oxnard California, his team will continue to build the frame that will include mounting points for the body and doors. The next things to mount to the chassis would be the steering wheel column, pedals, seat rails, roll bar, and the rear section of the motor mounts.

The motor will not be mounted in the normal motor mounting method. Lance has the engine designed into the chassis frame… as you can see in the photos they have an engine mounting plate (rear farewell and the front of the engine) that the (dummy) engine is mounted to. At the rear end of the motor there is a bell housing plate mounted to the engine. The chassis frame will then mount to the bell-housing making the engine a part of the structural chassis frame. Lance tells me that this type of design will force the engine to torque and pull the whole chassis down to the ground and hold on to the road.

The center firewall frame section will be removed and the plate will then be cut out for the front of the engine. All the pully belts will be inside the center of the console frame section. This is a rear photo of the dummy engine mounted to the plate, unfortunately I didn't get a good photo of the bell housing plate, you can barely see it at the bottom of this photo.
We just placed the fuel cell in for the photo

Lance's team will also be removing the stock Fiero ½" wheel lugs and replacing them with 5/8" lugs. Lance told me that the control arms that RCC designed is a great set and needs no improvement, so he kept the existing front-end suspension.
