Just got my front bumper mount complete I used 3/4 square tubing .120 wall for the front bow. the supports are of 1/2 inch square tube. All welds done by TIG,  no slag! no grinding,  Sweet!

My donut tire fits nicely between the rails lying flat
There just might be room enough for a suitcase!

I used a piece of 1/8 plate to tie-in the front bumper mount to the front steering cross-member. The Fiero uses two braces that bolted to the same cross-member location.   I thought it would add strength in all directions and makes for a good bash shield
