The ajar lights are triggered by the same pin-switches used by OEMs to turn on lights when doors open, or by alarm system manufacturers. It's a simple matter to rig a switch to a light.
The radar detector is a K40: http://www.k40.com

K40 unites are designed to be integrated into the vehicle (the sensors mount at the front and back behind the bumpers, the laser detector/jammer goes near or on the license plate), the on-off switch and volume control mount on the dash or console, the on-off LED and the warning LEDs can be mounted anywhere, including behind my custom panel.

I'm creating custom icons for all of those. In all I'll have 40 of them. I'll post a picture of the graphic and a list of icon functions when I complete it later this week.
