These are the covers that will hide the Fiero steering wheel, they came with my CRP kit. They just slip over the stock Fiero column.

The top pieces edge was not a good clean edge, so I am cleaning the mounting edge and fixing some of the fiber glass blisters and air pockets that this cover had.

Also the two piece don't fit together correctly, the top half over laps the bottom half as you can see in the photos.

You can see the "before" and "after" photos, the wall had to be moved 3/4" out.

On the bottom shell the walls fold in, to fix this problem I score/cut the sides, and pull the sides out, then fiber glass the sides. You can see the photos below where I used the Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel to make a dash cuts.

I used a Dremel tool to grinded down the inside wall (at my cut line) preparing for the new fiber glass material.

With blocks of wood I aligned the side walls to the correct dimension, the blocks in the center are pushing the walls out. The blocks on the outside are there to put some pressure on so the wall don't break off.

I am not sure that it wouldn't be easier to just cut the walls off and glass them back, rather then this method of trying to preserve the walls by pushing them over.

To make the back end fit correctly I actually need to break off the side and reglassed it back on.

I added fiber glass to the inside to fix the break line that I created and when I was done I was still off by 3/16" (not pushed out enough). I sanded down the gel coating and added the fiberglass to the outside.

By addind the fiberglassing material it will now give the sides a better even look. This is a photo of the bottom cover with my layers of fiberglass.

The covers are now aligned.

These are rough pics and I'll send better ones when i get it in primer. I'll also take pics of what I had to do to the fiero column to make it work.

The cover fits really well and it does fit when using the tilt. The key hole is higher than the origional. I have to finish the body work and sanding on it and then prime it.

I haven't yet decided on how I will do the hazard switch, I was thinking about just using a threaded rod that screws in and extends out of the cover. If anyone has a better idea I'm open for suggestions as ling as i can get it done before its completed.

Heres some more photos, notic the keyhole is on the top part now.

I had to cut the plastic ring on the column so it would work when you used the tilt.

I used the grant standard wheel adaptor kit, this will make a difference in making the cover work and also the column has to be shortened.

I shortened mine 4" but others can change it but will have to move their dash to make it work.
